Call for Proposals

Our Call for Proposals is open! DatomicConf is looking for speakers who can share practical experience, technical insight, learned lessons, and fresh ideas with a curious, engaged community.

Proposal Topics

We specifically want to see talk proposals in the following areas:

  • Performance, operations and scale
  • Using Datomic in domains such as finance, healthcare, education or public infrastructure
  • Demonstrating Datomic concepts through compelling examples or case studies
  • Developer experience, libraries, workflows and tooling
  • Research, experiments and new approaches that challenge assumptions

A strong proposal helps us understand:

  • The problem or question your talk addresses

  • Why it matters to the Datomic community

  • What attendees will learn or be able to do afterward

  • The technical depth, examples or evidence you will bring

  • What is distinctive, surprising or valuable about your perspective

Submission Details

Talks are 40 minutes, including Q&A. Co-presented talks are welcome. You don’t need to be a professional speaker or a Datomic expert to submit a talk proposal. We especially encourage proposals from people whose perspectives and experiences are underrepresented in technical conference programs.

Selection Process

The DatomicConf team will review all proposals for relevance, clarity, technical substance and practical value and contact every submitter after the review period. If selected, speakers will work with the DatomicConf team on talk development, accessibility and logistics. We will cover speakers' flight and hotel costs.
